The municipality holds the following roles:

a) in the area of separate responsibilities
fulfills the task from Municipal Government or Town Council
helps committees of local city government and the board of administration in their activities

b) exercises delegated powers, under § 61 of Act no. 128/2000 Coll., for municipalities, except for matters that fall under the jurisdiction of another body

c) makes decisions on the provision of information to an applicant according to its laws

The Municipal Authority performs state administration intended for the administrative district, as a base community with an authorized registry office.
